Originally from upstate New York, USA, Erik has been living and working in Medellin for the past nine years as the Director of Real Estate Strategy at Grupo Argos. Prior to joining Grupo Argos, he worked as a management consultant at a not-for-profit consultancy focused on SMEs in Colombia and as a summer associate at an early-stage venture capital firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Since graduating from Yale School of Management in 2013, Erik has been advising Latin American applicants for North American and European professional and graduate programs, including MBA, LLM, MSRED, and Ph.D., among others. He has helped applicants gain admission to some of the top universities in the world, including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, Duke, Penn, Dartmouth, Chicago, LBS, Northwestern, Columbia, Berkeley, NYU, Cornell, INSEAD, and HEC.

In addition to advising university applicants, Erik has served as an advisory board member for the Santa Maria School in New York City (2010-2014), as an adjunct professor of finance for Universidad EAFIT (2015), and as an admissions volunteer for Yale (2015-present).

Born in Toronto, Canada, Stephanie grew up on the west coast of Florida before attending Duke University. Upon graduating from Duke cum laude and with Honors with a BA in English, she applied her degree as a marketing and investor relations professional at a fund-of-funds in New York City. There she was responsible for transforming the insights of Portfolio Managers into effective and insightful white papers and investor updates that helped drive her fund’s reputation as a thought leader and helped retain nearly all of the capital invested in the fund during the 2008-2009 economic downturn.

Stephanie received an MA in Spanish Literature from Middlebury College and lived in Madrid and Guadalajara before moving to Medellin permanently in 2013. She became interested in the MBA admissions process after helping her husband earn admission to Stanford, Wharton, and Columbia business school programs. Since then, she has helped other candidates transform their applications through the power of concise, impactful language, and gain admission to top MBA and MA programs.

Stephanie has three young children, all born in Colombia, and passionately believes in the transformative power of education. She has served as Chairperson for the Duke Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee for the last three years, interviewing 40+ Colombian high school students seeking admission to Duke.

After helping family and friends with their CVs and cover letters for years, Stephanie has deployed her bilingual fluency and marketing expertise to transform careers as a professional resume and LinkedIn profile writer. Her empathy combined with top writing skills allows her to guide clients through the process of effectively demonstrating their strengths via the written word. She finds supporting people in achieving their goals to be incredibly rewarding.
